MY 
STORY

     My name is Nancy Holmes, the founder of Wedding Dogs. I was born and raised in rural San Diego, where I was lucky to have not only dogs as pets, but also cats, horses, a donkey a goat, and a pig, among the many animals we had at one time or another.

     When I was twelve, I used my babysitting money to buy a poodle/terrier mix puppy I named Snoopy. I naively swore to my parents that I could be responsible for all the care and costs. I did in fact pay for his vaccinations but when he had some digestive issues, my parents did step in and pay for the vet costs and the chicken and rice that I prepared for him until he recovered.

     I worked in the medical field for many years and then began to look for something I could do that I would enjoy, which meant animals. I have been volunteering for several years now at a cat rescue, and

recently began volunteering for Sunday hikes for a senior dog rescue, helping take the dogs on some gentle hiking and some time away from the rescue.

     The idea of something I could do as a business involving animals has been percolating in my mind and I finally decided on being a Pet Attendant for people who want their dogs included in their special occasions.

Happy occasions, happy animals, what could be better?
